Think Big, Start Small: How Nanomedicine Could Alleviate the Burden of Rare CNS Diseases

نویسندگان

چکیده

The complexity and organization of the central nervous system (CNS) is widely modulated by presence blood–brain barrier (BBB) blood–cerebrospinal fluid (BCSFB), which both act as biochemical, dynamic obstacles impeding any type undesirable exogenous exchanges. disruption these barriers usually associated with development neuropathologies can be consequence genetic disorders, local antigenic invasions, or autoimmune diseases. These disorders take shape rare CNS-related diseases (other than Alzheimer’s Parkinson’s) a exhibit relatively low moderate prevalence could part potential line treatments from current nanotargeted therapies. Indeed, one most promising therapeutical alternatives in that field comes nanotechnologies divided between drug delivery systems diagnostic tools. Unfortunately, number studies dedicated to treating using nanotherapeutics limited, mostly due lack interest industrial pharmaceutical companies. In present review, we will provide an overview some CNS diseases, discuss physiopathology shed light on how nanotherapies credible treatment, finally address major issues hinder efficient therapies area.
